Nationals Financial Assistance Criteria

UWAAC Nationals Financial Assistance Criteria

For those that have qualified for an Australian Track & Field Championships, the club offers our members financial assistance.

To apply for the assistance a form will be provided to all members and it must be submited by the deadline provided. Late applications will not be accepted.

Criteria for funding:

  • Athletes must be a current UWA Senior club member
  • Athletes must have qualified for nationals off the national qualifying standards, not placings at a State championships.
  • Athletes that already receive sponsorship from another source are not eligible.
  • Open national Athletes must wear the FULL uwa uniform when competing at nationals to be eligible for the funding. (Funding will be provided post nationals once confirmation that the full uniform was worn, this excludes black short and black briefs).
    • UWA Understands that the mens bike pants are not the best option, however best attempts must be made to wear blue shorts. Women have multiple options including IMPI cobalt blue briefs and shorts as well as the club briefs and shorts. There are no exceptions for female athletes.

Please note the club has limited funding available and applications are assessed on club involvement and support of fundraising activities, in addition to the level of competition with priority consideration given to open age athletes as there are less outside funding opportunities available for these athletes.

All applications for financial assistance are considered on an individual basis by the club committee. You will be informed of the status of your application once the committee has reached a decision. Decisions are at the complete discretion of the committee and are final.

For Junior dual UWALAC members please apply via this link.
