Background:
Grant is one of Australia’s most experienced and respected athletics coaches, with a long-standing role in the high-performance system.
WAIS Coach since 2003, serving as:
- 3× Olympic Team Coach,
- 3× World Championships Team Coach
- 4× Commonwealth Games Team Coach
- 2× World University Games Team Coach; and
- 2× World Junior Championships Team Coach.
Grant has coached athletes across multiple international championships and has played a key role in developing high-performance track and field athletes in Western Australia. Through his work with WAIS and the national program, he has supported athletes from junior development through to elite international competition.
He is particularly known for histechnical coaching expertise and long-term athlete development approach, helping athletes progress from emerging talent to world-class performers. Over more than two decades, Grant has contributed significantly to Australia’s athletics success on the global stage.
